The closure will affect 45 workers, who were notified in writing, according to the notice. The layoffs will occur over two weeks, starting June 2, the Business Journal reports.

Some of the workers affected are represented by a local branch of District Council 9 of the Graphics Communications Conference, a Teamsters union.

Editorial, circulation and advertising will still work from the West Manchester Township office.

Five newspapers were printed at the York County plant: the Chambersburg Public Opinion, The Evening Sun in Hanover, the Lebanon Daily News, the York Dispatch and the York Daily Record. Gannett bought the five papers in 2015.
