As tronc's creative and strategic branding arm, Studio 1847 will work with advertisers to tell their stories through custom events and branded content that can be distributed across the company's network of channels through native advertising, the release says.

Studio 1847 will be led by Robin Gruen, vice president of branded content; Tim Giles, vice president of sales; and Elsa Case, vice president of events.

Tronc's events and marketing teams have helped brands including Publix, Menards, Walgreens, Jack Daniel's and Cadillac, the release said.

"We're excited to bring together tronc's talented events and branded content teams to help brands engage with audiences on a national, regional, and local level," said Susan Jacobs, tronc senior vice president of revenue strategy
