K&M sells Titan to Fla. paper

 

K&M Newspaper Services Inc. said it sold a Titan G60 inserter to the Tallahassee (Fla.) Democrat. The 22-hopper system will be equipped with control software from Miracom Computer Corp. and will be shipped with a K-Track press conveyor, bundle distribution conveyor and HL2000 mini-hopper loaders, K&M said.

Additionally, the vendor sold reconditioned 1472 inserters to Charleston (W. Va.) Newspapers and the Herald-Zeitung in New Braunfels, Texas. The Holland (Mich.) Sentinel purchased a reconditioned G3, configured with 22 heads.

•Press conveyors, floor conveyors and bundle distribution systems to the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer; the Holland Sentinel; the Daily Commercial in Leesburg, Fla.; the Herald-Zeitung in New Braunfels; the Times in Shreveport, La.; the Herald-Palladium in St. Joseph, Mich.; the Daily Times in Salisbury, Md.; the Meriden (Conn.) Record; the Chronicle-Tribune in Marion, Ind.; and the Daily News in McKeesport, Pa.

 

•Inserter control upgrades, using Mirasert software from Miracom; at Charleston Newspapers; the Galveston County (Texas) Daily News; the Herald-Mail Co. in Hagerstown, Md.; Rapid City (S.D.) Journal; the Times in Shreveport; the Valley News in West Lebanon, N.H.; the Butler (Pa.) Eagle; and the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle.

 

•Modifications to postpress equipment to accommodate web-width reductions at 48 sites in the past six months, including the Lansing (Mich.) State Journal.
