The paper has moved to delivery through the U.S. Postal Service, the new weekend edition is part of that change.

The conversion of home-delivery subscribers to mail has gone well, according to Times Publisher Terry Connor.

"We understand subscribers are having to adjust some of their newspaper reading habits, but, overall, most audience members who have reached out to us understand the change was a business decision," Connor said. "Additionally, we have heard from subscribers who are opting to use the digital delivery option of the newspaper for early morning delivery."

The paper has offered Total Access subscribers the option of receiving an e-edition delivered to their email before 6 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
