The Dallas Morning News will work with The Washington Post to upgrade its website, the Dallas Observer reported.
The changes are set to appear next month, according to the Observer.
“The Dallas Morning Newsis finding its footing in pursuing its digital subscription objectives and is well along in its plan to launch a new website on the Arc platform in September,” said Robert W. Decherd, chairman, president and CEO of Dallas Morning News in owner A.H. Belo Corp.'s second quarter financial statement. “The creation of a single decision-making structure for all of the company’s operations under Grant Moise, including digital marketing services, gives additional lift to these initiatives.”
The company’s second quarter financial statement said the company made a profit in the quarter, almost $17 million. A.H. Belo had a $500,000 loss over the same period in 2018.
The second quarter profit "was driven by $28 million in proceeds from the sale of real estate previously used as the company's headquarters, resulting in a pretax gain of $25.9 million which for tax purposes is fully offset by the net operating loss carryforwards,” the statement said.
