Former Time CEO Joe Ripp dumped the publisher titles in 2016 hoping to pull in ad money by peddling multi-title packages to large advertisers. But Time lost market share, and was sold to Meredith, based in Des Moines, Iowa, in a $2.8 billion deal.
There have been some other changes at Time, as well.
Kevin Martinez is out as the group publisher of InStyle and StyleWatch. Laura Frerer-Schmidt, the new InStyle publisher, will also oversee Shape.
Steve DeLuca is gone as the publisher of Departures, two years after propelling it to record profit.
Ex-Conde Nast executive Giulio Capua, in charge of the Food Innovative Group and Architectural Digest when he was removed after nearly three decades, will head luxury brands at Meredith, including Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure.
