New Media Investment Group, parent company of GateHouse Media, is spending $1.2 million for Holden Landmark Corp., the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester, Massachusetts, reported.

The price was included in New Media's fourth-quarter and full-year 2017 financial results.

Landmark is the owner of six print newspapers and nine websites, including Worcester Magazine, The Landmark in Holden, and the Millbury-Sutton Chronicle.

New Media is buying the Landmark publications from Kirk A. Davis, who's CEO of GateHouse Media.

The deal is expected to be completed by the end of March.
